Multikulti: Removing Unconscious Debris From the Soil of the Soul
Multikulti: Removing Unconscious Debris From the Soil of the Soul
Thursdays, Feb 4th-March 11th, 6:30-8pm
In our present Time of Tumult, Rev. Anthony Mtuaswa Johnson offers a container and powerful methods for exploring the “ism’s” of race, gender, class, religion and more, that challenge our culture, our communities, and our relationships. Six sessions of learning, unlearning, feeling and sharing about our differences; moving us toward creating change - in ourselves and the world around us.
There are only 25 spots available for this small group experience, so register as soon as you know you are interested.
This course is free to all our monthly sustaining donors. If you wish to join but aren't a donor, you can contribute a suggested donation of $50. There is also an opportunity to contribute to racial justice organizing at registration below. If you aren't financially able to donate, join us anyway!
Reparations Note: White participants are encouraged to consider paying an additional $50, in recognition of the historic legacy of racist economic policies and the ways in which generational wealth and greater access to economic opportunity have privileged white people as a group for hundreds of years. We will donate these extra funds to Black-led organizations working for racial justice.
Interdependence Note: Regardless of your racial identity, if your class privilege or finances allow you to pay more so that others may pay less, please consider adding an additional contribution to your total. We will use these extra funds to provide scholarships for racial justice programming.
Equity Note: Regardless of your racial identity, scholarships are available to those who need them. Select the free option and join us!
