Show Up In Numbers - Public Witness
UUJAZ is part of a coalition in the Phoenix Metro area to create a Civilian oversight, and increased community accountability for the Phoenix Police. The Coalition includes partners like Poder In Action, Black Phoenix Organizing Collective, Puente Human Rights Movement, Equality AZ, and more. Phoenix UUs have shown up in yellow shirts at City Council meetings, made appointments with councilmember Debra Stark and Mayor Kate Gallego, and sent Rev. Christine Dance and Executive Director Janine Gelsinger to speak to Council. This spring is our last big push; mark your calendars for February 25th!
Speak Your Values - Contact Electeds
If you can't make the council meetings in person, you can call, email, or schedule an appointment with your city councilmember and/or Mayor Gallego. A sample script:

I'd like to add my voice in calling for a Civilian Review Board that is independent, investigative, transparent, and community-driven. ____________(add any other thoughts on why this is personal to you).
