Issues & Action Day 2021
Saturday October 23rd, 2021, 9am - 3pm
Our annual statewide event is going virtual this year, so we've focused in on two main events:
"Not Everyone Has To Chain Themselves to a Pipeline: Discerning Our Role in Revolution" led by the UUJAZ team, and Gina Collignon of UUCSJ, this workshop will provide the questions you need to ask yourself to determine where you can contribute best to a direct action... from legal observer to street medic, art making to jail support, risking arrest to fundraising, shuttle driving to "carebear" and everything in between.
"Welcoming Congregation Celebration!" zoom event. Join us to celebrate the nine Arizona UU congregations who are current in their Welcoming Congregation Renewal! We'll have new tee-shirts to reveal, special surprise guests, and a change to connect with other UUs on what makes your congregation welcoming. Could you be the 10th? There's still time to finish your renewal and celebrate with us!
*Because Issues + Action Day had to pivot to virtual-only, ticket purchase is optional. This Covid accommodation is a hard blow to our fundraising capabilities, so anything you are still able to give, to sustain the work UUJAZ does all year, is much appreciated.
When making your purchase, we also encourage you to consider the following options:
Reparations Note: White participants are encouraged to consider paying an additional amount in recognition of the historic legacy of racist economic policies and the ways in which generational wealth and greater access to economic opportunity have privileged white people as a group for hundreds of years. We will donate these extra funds to Black-led organizations working for racial justice.
Select the $50 option below, or choose a custom amount through the Donate page of our site. List "IAD Reparations" in the notes.
Interdependence Note: Regardless of your racial identity, if your class privilege or finances allow you to pay more so that others may pay less, please consider adding an additional contribution to your total. We will use these extra funds to provide scholarships and tickets for other attendees.

Equity Note: Regardless of your racial identity, scholarships are available to those who need them. Select the free option and join us!
