LGBTQ+ Days of Observance Posters
Remember when your congregation became a Welcoming Congregation? Maybe it was before you started attending... maybe it was so long ago it's hard to remember... maybe it was before you were born!
For most Congregations in Arizona, it was the late 90's or early 2000's. A lot has changed since then. That's why since 2019, the UUA is requiring congregations to renew their Welcoming Congregation status every year.
To support the AZ Congregations in this endeavor, UUJAZ's talented graphics whiz, and Communications Coordinator, Phoebe Dubisch, has put together graphics for each day of Observance, and we'll send them out to congregational administrators, communications folks, and ministers monthly. If there's anyone else you want us to add to the list, just let Phoebe know at UUJAZcomms@gmail.com

This conversation will explore the invitation of inclusive and affirming faith in a time that is full of opportunities to face deep seated divisions in our society and an opportunity to change ourselves and our communities through inclusion, affirmation, and love.

What can we do to ensure LGBTQ+ folks cannot be fired from jobs, discriminated against in healthcare, excluded from sports, or denied adoptions because of their sexuality and gender? What will happen in Arizona if Roe v. Wade falls, considering there are anti-abortion laws already in place? Hear from our partners at Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona, and Equality Arizona, about what you can do to defend LGBTQ+ and gender justice.
